EXP DATA to Garmin GNX

Hi! I have realized (thanks to this forum) that receiving gps data via actisense to exp (instead of using ethernet connection ) is a great improve to Start Calculations ( distBelowLine, tm to burn, ) and a great improve to ping marks, etc.... in fact everything about GPS is better than before.

Could we use the same actisense connection to send data to Garmin GNX using custom garmin channels?. ( ex: an alternating channel mixing start to gun time and TWA or another one like DistBelowLine and TWS,...) Or should be better to send the alternating channels data via ethernet to cpu ( sailmon e4). E4 does a great job with expedition data ( we are very happy) but data like distance below line is so critical....

Hi again. Test done. It is the same and even at the same refresh ( we have to be careful with not sending too much channels for the garmin update rate). E4 has the ability to send garmin custom channels internally. Works very similar to actisense ( for the good and the bad things). Exp alternating channels are ( in my case) a mess. If you send numbers ( distance) and then TWS,( nmea2000 displays or fastnet displays) precision data (decimals) change without control....
