Routing results analysis
Campbell - your video on developing macros is great! Many thanks!
Before I saw the 'analysis' button in the Expedition ribbon I was running a pivot table on the results to do the same thing using a macro! (However I have to add two more columns duration and TWA ABS - I have to clean the TWA - removing the parenthese and create an Absolute TWA olumn) to give a time weighted average of what to expect)

Anyway, I note that in your 'personal' view you have:
some enhanced information about sail usage in addition to the Expedition output, and
table with 'buckets' of TWS/TWA and percent time.
How do you augment your personal 'dashboard' with this additional information?
Many thanks!
PS - how does Expedition deal with the crossover zones (in the crossover chart) when portraying the data, as it adds up to 100% of course.
PpS - I am intrigued with how various navigators organise their 'number boxes' (what fields they use, how they group them and how many of the boxes they use) and what fields they run in strip chart. Would welcome any insights/shares.
My personal view of the Expedition output I simply summarise data manually (and rather clumsily I might add) within my macro.
Sail usage I simply data sort so the most used sail is at the top of the list and conditionally format for colour
Summary tables of TWS and TWA is simply a lower resolution representation of the main TWA/TWA table, and have graphed for easy visual representation of the angles distribution.
Sail hours - this depends on the TYPE of sail in an xml XO chart. Any sail that is not a Foresail (GS, SS, Reef etc) will have it's total hours counted, but not part of the total hours summary. Any sails that are FORESAILS and where there is time with them overlapped, the time spent at overlap points will be shared evenly with the overlapped sails.
For example, if the time spent at this TWS/TWA bin is 60 min:
The 30 min will be added to the Reacher and 30 min to the A4 and contribute to the total hours sailed.
The GS however is listed as OTHER in the sail list will have 60 min attributed to it and listed separately in the summary.
